TECHNICAL SCOPE
Website maintenance and managed hosting
Work starts with an inventory of hosting, domain, application and integrations. Updates are assessed against existing features and tested in a separate environment when available. Backup and restoration are procedures to verify, beyond storing files; frequency and response times depend on the agreed service.
Activities and verification
- Dependency updates and compatibility checks for pages and features.
- Check certificates, storage, logs and relevant service status.
- Corrective and evolutionary work with backups and restoration options.
Initial decisions and integration
I map the platform, dependencies, access, backups and service owners. I can work with IT or the original development team using agreed environments and maintenance windows. Changes are focused and documented.
A verification example
Before updating a dependency, affected features and restoration options are identified. Agreed journeys and relevant logs are checked afterwards. Backup verification includes a recovery exercise in a suitable environment when included in scope.
Deliverables and acceptance criteria
Intervention log, relevant configurations and operating guidance. Availability, response times and support are defined within the service scope, without assuming continuous coverage.
Where to start
Specify the platform, hosting, available access, dependencies and recurring problems to address.
Does maintenance include continuous support?
Tasks, availability and response times are agreed. Support can cover focused interventions or a recurring arrangement according to the client’s needs.
