TECHNICAL SCOPE

Customer portals, secure areas and technical support

Design clarifies who owns each piece of information and who can view or change it. The portal exposes status, next actions and responsibilities, reducing fragmented email and attachment exchanges. Access and separation between users are verified on the server alongside interface operations.

Activities and verification

  • Document areas, support requests and agreed approval workflows.
  • Roles, company membership, access expiry and attachment protection.
  • Search, history, notifications and connections to business systems or external services.

Initial decisions and integration

I define account, content, permission and request ownership with the team. Work can support an existing portal or introduce a focused area, retaining business identity and authorised integrations. Data separation and operational responsibilities are part of the initial analysis.

A verification example

A test uses accounts with different roles and companies to check visibility and permitted operations. Direct attachment access, revoked permissions and incomplete requests are checked. Hiding a command in the interface does not replace server-side authorisation.

Deliverables and acceptance criteria

Portal, permission matrix, operating procedures and data-isolation tests. Acceptance covers denied access, permission revocation and incomplete requests.

Where to start

Bring document and request examples, user groups, visibility rules and systems already in use.

Can access integrate with our existing system?

I review available protocols, access and rules with IT owners. Integration follows the interfaces provided and the scope authorised by the client.
